SNOW!?!?!

We live in Louisiana. It never. ever. NEVER. snows here! But it did TODAY!!!
The girls are so excited! This is the first time they have ever seen it. For real.
We occasionally get snow flurries, but nothing that ever sits on the ground.
This was way cool.

The girls outside by my van, covered in snow.

My front yard, after Mr. Sweetie left in his truck, you can see where it was.

My van actually had a blanket of snow on it. Wow!
We won't forget this day for a long time!

It started sleeting here about 1am, woke up around 3..still sleeting..4am ..still sleeting...7am still sleeting. We ended up with about 4 inches of thick slush. Not really any snow--just slush. The kids have been making slush men and throwing slush balls. It's the consistency of a slush from Sonic. Was hoping for some snow--but they never get to see any winter precip--so this is good too.

SO, they'll get to talk about the Winter of 08 when you actually got snow, just like we talk about the winter of 79! Glad they got a little snow to enjoy!

LOL we lived in Michigan so we dread the white stuff.

We had enough snow this year in Texas to go sledding. Everyone in MI laughed at me that I moved to Texas and it snowed.

The Texans said they have never had snow like that. Go figure.

LOL that you got some too. Funny!

That is great!!!!! How much fun for you guys to experience! It is always fun, like that very first snow of the season we get here, just a new beginning to everything, and it looks so pretty. I love the fresh fallen snow... after that, when it starts to get dirty, not so much. It really is beautiful though, and then when it completely covers everything, it's so gorgeous!!!! Enjoy it while you can!!!!

:)
