Writer's Workshop-Sibling Rivalry

I am participating in MamaKat's Writer's Workshop this week.
The prompt I chose is to write about something mean I did to a sibling growing up.
Ahh, where to begin? I was always so mean to my one and only sibling, my younger sister. We were actually very mean to one another, so it went both ways.
It all started as soon as my parents brought this very unwanted child into the home where I was the object of all attention. How dare they make me give up that role to this child they claimed to be related to me? So really it was all their fault!
From taking away her toys to driving up to her on my tricycle as she sat in her baby swing and letting her put her toes into the spokes of the wheels and proceed to back up, the list goes on forever.
One particular incident stands out. We talk about this one still today and laugh. Now it is funny. Then, not so much.
As was all of our fighting, this one turned violent and sounds like something straight out of a movie. Somehow, my darling younger sister pissed me off. Not hard to do in those days, but I relented by spitting into her mouth. Sick, huh? Well, she asked for it, she opened her mouth to scream and I let loose.
Her retaliation? She proceeded to stab me in the head with a knife!! That is right, a knife. Stabbed. Blood. Drama. Now, the knife was not of the butcher kind but more in the range of a small steak knife. That baby still sliced my head right open and well, my mom was none too happy with either of us, I can tell you that.
I have no idea how old we were when this actually occurred, but I do know we were most probably both in the younger portion of elementary school.
Maybe that is why I love all of the blood and gore of horror movies. I lived it. Thanks sis!

I used to beat my brother up all the time. He never fought back because he was taught not to hit girls. Boy, did I use that:-) Ah...memories:-)

No. Seriously?

I am afraid of your sister. But don't tell her I said that.

Did you need stitches? Dude...

oh my gosh. i've never heard of a sibling fight that ended like that! i had plenty of sibling fights...not violent though. i, too, am the oldest and did not enjoy the attention being taken away from me!

OH MY GOSH...I can't believe she stabbed you with a knife! Although I can remember my older brother swinging a golf club at my other brothers head...and when it connected it made the most gruesome sound...and required quite a few stitches to fix!

Spitting into someone's mouth is gross.

But a KNIFE!! That girl had some serious issues with you...I thought WE were violent. :) I'm sure she's lovely now.
