Four Eyes

Last weekend, after many complaints of headaches and not being able to see the board in class, Chelsea had a visit to the eye doctor!

The result was that she indeed needed glasses and would definitely have to wear them in class. His exact quote, when I asked if she needed them all the time was, "I want her wearing them in the classroom, I don't care if Spongebob is blurry."

The first set of frames she chose were really cute, but the price tag was more than I cared to think about and knowing that her father would not be jumping hurdles to pay the bill, which he did not, I talked her into a less expensive, but just as cute pair:

It breaks my heart that her father, who don't get me wrong, pays his fair share of child support, but was also ordered to pay all medical expenses, practically blew me off when I asked for help.
The first thing she said when she placed her new specs on her nose, was "I can see!"
And frankly, knowing that her life is a little brighter, better, simpler.... is all I needed!

Good morning...visiting from SITS! I love the frames; they look very similar to the ones my daughter wears.

You have such a pretty blog. I'm looking forward to looking around.

Take care!

Very cute! It's amazing to see how surprised they are when they realize how things are supposed to look. My daughter did the same thing when she got glasses and could see beyond her nose! lol

I hate co-parents would don't chip in for the unexpected. My older daughter was with her dad and whenever he told me about an additional expense, I was there with the money!!

She looks REALLY cute!

Oh wow, I LOVE the glasses and she looks beautiful with them on!

Okay, so if the ex has been ORDERED to pay medical, doesn't he HAVE to pay for this?

Justine :o )

I absolutely love her glasses!! Beautiful. :) She looks stunning in them. I have a pair that are very similar to that, but instead of flowers are Asian designs.

Stopping by from SITS

Oh, they're very cool! A lot better than my 1st pair of glasses. I've been wearing glasses since I was 9... and I've had some ugly ones through the years, let me tell ya! ;)

She looks great in them.

Hugs!!

Been there, done that. All I can say is that I know you would do anything for her, regardless of him, and that is what matters. Kids aren't dumb and they see how it goes....

Soooo glad to have those issues way behind me though.

Oh sweetie those rock! I so would rock a pair! I love that glasses are like fashion now instead of when we were young and it was so uncool to wear them!
