Just BE!

A lifelong friend of mine lost her only daughter, 20 years old, to a tragic car accident this past weekend.

In times such as these, you hear and say the same things over and over.

"Such a sad and horrific thing to have happened."

"Taken way too young."

"They had their whole lives ahead of them."

Really, what more can you say? What can you do?

The only thing you can do is be a friend and be there for them.

Nothing in the world can reverse what happened in instances such as these.

My heart aches for the loss of such a close-knit loving family and such sweet and caring people that have been in my life for as long as I can remember.

I pray that God heals their hearts and eases their mind's and let's them realize that one day they will meet again.

And that no mother on Earth should ever have to bury her baby again....

Amen. A friend of mine lost her 16 year old a few years ago the same way. I'm saying a special prayer for your friends.

So hard! My friend's family is still reeling from the death of the 5 year old! Definitely praying!

That's good advice.

I'm so sorry for their loss... there's just too much of that in the world.

I always tell my girls "I go first" but, that is one promise they can't keep. You never know what will happen.

I hope that their healing is swift.

So true, there is really nothing you can do or say to make it all go away. Just be there when they need you. Sending prayers for them.

Well stated Amy...truly there are no words available that console those who greive during such times. But your kindness and strength and loving encouragement will comfort them on those darker days.

You truly are a good friend.
