My Trip (The End)

Carrying on with the tail end of my trip..

THURSDAY: We had a coupon to this water park, so we planned to take the girls for the afternoon

As luck would have it, the coupon was for a free child and free adult admission to the park. Unfortunately, they consider a child to be shorter than 48 inches, and if those requirements are not me, regardless of age, the child is admitted under the adult prices. You guessed it, Alyssa was taller than 48 inches, so we only were granted a free adult admission. Better than nothing, I guess, but that sucked just the same.

Despite all of that, we spent about 3 hours there, until the park closed, but it's not the best water park I ever visited. It had tons of shade, which I loved, but most of the rides were all right on top of each other and the stairs.... I was tired just from going up and down the stairs being a paranoid mother wondering how many people would fall on them running around on them with wet feet!

FRIDAY: On our final day in Florida, we decided to skip the last classes of the conference. No problem there for me. We spent hours shopping for souvenirs, ate lunch at the condo and the girls spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. I went shopping at an outlet mall nearby and my intention was to get a purse. Well, me being the conservative spender that I am, I decided not to spend $150 on a purse that was originally priced around $300 or so. Nope, not my idea of 'outlet' prices.

Later that evening we went to a restaurant called the Crab Trap. Very nice place. We ate out on the deck and the seafood was delish!

For our last evening, I had to spend it on the beach. I knew it would be a while before we'd get the chance to do it again, so until after dark, we frolicked on the beach and enjoyed it immensely!
