I went to two parades and neither one of them impressed me much. Years ago there were tons of floats and lots of partying, but both parades were pretty small this time. Maybe it was because the temps were only in the low 50's and us southern people are more accustomed to 70 degree humid weather.
In 'real' English this float would read Crew of More Fun. Yeah, I come from a very distinguished state that prides itself on proper English....Who Dat? Mmmm, hmmmm!
I was trying to get a good shot of the horses and these 'mardi gras revelers', but as you can see there, homey on the left is trying to wave at me? Flirt with me? Maybe pick me up? Or is he is just drunk? Whatever the case may be...he scares me. If I disappear, put this photo on "America's Most Wanted"!
Happy Lent!

That last one is creepy!
Ooh, I don't know that I would brave the crowds for one of these parades, even if it's not in NO.
Justine :o )
That dude is creepy! I was just thinking today how it would be fun to photograph Mardi Gras and some parades.....though putting up with the drunk idiots could ruin for me!
