PCBD

Have you ever been in a very bad mood and it's so bad that you actually get mad at yourself for being in said mood? No? Well, I always new I was different. And weird!

I have felt that way for this past week. Maybe it's PMS. Maybe it is time for 'the change'. Nah! I am too young for that. I think.

Work has been great. I still love my job. And who wouldn't when you get a four day weekend because of some presidents who lived years before I even existed and another day off for something called "Fat Tuesday"? That would be Mardi Gras around these parts. Yep, I am loving it!

My passion for photography is gnawing at my every bit of being right now. Last weekend I got a brand spankin' new camera. I am so thrilled, I could squeal like a delighted toddler who has just been handed a lollipop!

Hopefully if things go the way I want it to, I will be blogging more often because of that new, beautiful, sleek, shiny, wonderful hunk of camera-ness! I am in love with it. Seriously!

Canon should have been my middle name. Amy Canon? Nah! Anyway, the Canon Rebel XSi EOS 450D is now in my possession. I have waited a long time to own it and dammit, I deserve it!

Must be why my mood was so bad, I was suffering from photo/camera/blogging deprivation! Yep, that's it....no PMS here, just PCBD! And I found the cure!

Do Not Forward...

I get so many emails that include FW: in the beginning and I cringe. Sometimes I go through them and just delete them all, unless the title following the FW: interests me.

I am glad I did not delete this one, because I love it. It fits me. I needed it, and you may too!

Read on........

I Believe...
Just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
We don't have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.

I Believe..
No matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while and
you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
True friendship continues to grow, even over
the longest distance..
The same goes for true love.

I Believe..
You can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
You should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...
You can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
We are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
Either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
Money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe...
My best friend and I, can do anything, or
nothing and have the best time.

I Believe...
Sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had and what you've learned from them and
less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe..
It isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
No matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe...
Our background and circumstances may have
influenced who we are, but.
we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...
Two people can look at the same
thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
Your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
Even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you -
you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
Credentials on the wall do not make you a
decent human being.

I Believe...
You should send this to all the people
you believe in, I just did.

'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything;
they just make the most of everything.'

Knock Three Times!

When I was growing up my mom always listened to some really 'groovy' music. The seventies were just that, even though I am an 80's girl at heart.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, a facebook friend of mine posted this video and I was so thrilled to have a blast from the past. Not to mention, a reminder of my mom and her 'tunes'

I lived to blog about it....

Where do I even begin? It has been so long.

I am still alive...thankfully! On December 19th, on our way to do some Christmas shopping, my best friend and I were in an accident. She was driving, and we were taking a two way road that we usually take to avoid traffic.

A truck coming from the opposite direction, driven by an impatient, teenage boy suddenly comes barrelling at us (very fast) and head on, trying to pass the car that he was following. My friend tried to avoid any collision whatsoever by taking the ditch, but lo and behold he tried to avoid us too by heading for the same ditch! We hit the rear end of his HUGE truck and lived to tell about it.

What a nightmare....ambulance, ER, x-rays and flash backs of what did happen and what could have happened. Scary, to say the least. One of my worst fears is to be killed in an automobile accident. God was watching over us that day and for that I am truly grateful. We escaped with only minor injuries.

This week I turned the big 4-0! For the longest time I have dreaded it, said I would not be able to handle the day with little more than ultimate depression, and could not even fathom being in my 40's. Now I am thankful that I am here, alive and well. And 40 years old.

Why?

Life just isn't fair and we all know that.

So many things happen that make us ask "Why?"

Most of the time there is no answer.

We just have to accept things the way they happen and move on.

A good friend of mine lost her husband to a heart attack last Friday.

So shocking and so unexpected. He was only 46.

I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason but trying to figure out this reason is beyond anyone's ability.

Life (and death) is such a mysterious thing and I guess we will have to just continue to wonder about them both.

I am very sad for my friend. We have known each other all of our lives. I hope and pray that she finds comfort in her time of sorrow and strength to carry on for her little girl.

I wonder if Half-Pint had 'issues'

My daughter and I have been watching "Little House on the Prairie" Love the show and I can remember watching it faithfully when I was a little girl.

My youngest daughter was watching with me the other night and I pointed out to her how well mannered Laura was. She agreed and then told me that she would love to be sweet like her, but she has 'anger issues'.

Obviously too much TV viewing for my young 'un!

It's Always Something

*Yawn* OH, excuse me! I am trying to keep my eyes open long enough to type here~

On Friday I had my surgery.......fun times! Not really, but it's over and I am glad. Everything went well and well, it's over. End of story!

My Dad is doing just fine. Still in some minor pain, but it is not stopping him from talking, that is for sure. I think it's the meds, but don't tell him I said that!

Today I should be back at work, but for some reason I am not. Oh yeah, it's because my youngest offspring claims to be sick. However, because of some experience that I have in motherhood, I beg to differ. Yesterday it was the stomach issues and the head aching and add some whining and well, I was ready to drop into a heap of exhaustion! This morning, it was the stomach (still) and how much it is aching, yet going outside and eating everything in sight is at the top of her agenda. Off to the doctor here shortly... I can't take much more.

I need a nap, badly.......Calgon, take me away!
