I just returned from a shopping trip at Walmart :(
Let's get one thing straight before I start my ranting.
I already don't like to shop. For groceries anyway....put me in a mall and I'm in Heaven, but food shopping is the pits!
Deciding what to get and how much of it, and something different to cook, and stuff for snacks, and what makes a mess and what is less messy....the list goes on and on. I hate it.
Well now to make things even worse, the prices have gone like waaayy up, just since the last time I was there! And that was what, a week ago??
When I pulled my cart up to the milk cases, I almost fell over in disbelief. I don't know if the guy coming up along side of me heard me mumble it or not, but some not very nice words came out at that moment. Last time I bought milk it was $3.99. Today, $4.74!!!! Oh. My. God.
Then I push my cart on over to the sandwich meats case. Bologna....yes, bologna, that should be the cheapest thing around to feed kids during the day all summer long, why not? The stuff is $3.00 a pack now! I remember when it was barely $1.00.
Cereals have really gotten bad too, but I try to buy the cheaper of the 100's of choices that they have, and this is one of the reasons why I don't bring my kids with me to the store. They have expensive tastes and of course think money is no object.
Hello, I'm broke, Walmart has all of my money.

My First Etsy Purchase!
Since I've really gotten into the blogging 'thing' I've found some wonderful, funny, and brilliant blogging buddies and I couldn't be happier. I am now subscribed to quite a few, and still lurking around for more.
Speaking of lurking, as I was doing so one day, I came across a link to the Etsy online shop of handmade items and I 'accidentally' found a ring that I just adored and I knew I had to have it.
The maker of said ring was Toni of ToniDesigns . I placed my order and sent her a message and got a quick response. After a few discussions, I had my order placed and couldn't wait to get my ring.
It came in the mail today! I love it! I was so excited to get it, I just had to hop on and blog about it and share. Here's a pic:
I also wanted to give a shout out to Toni and put the word out about how great her service was and if you are looking for gifts of any kind, she has some beautiful things in her shop at very reasonable prices.

Is My CellPhone Haunted?!?!
This morning, just like I do every morning, after I get up....pee....check my email....read a few blog posts from Google Reader....yadda yadda, I turned on my cell phone.
I laid it aside, as I always do, and did not touch it again. I had things to do, like fix my hair.
So, I am in the bathroom and I hear my phone do its little signal-ding-ding-you-have-a-new-text-message noise. It was only like 8:15 a.m. so I think to myself, "what, already?" I check the message and it's from my friend Heather. Again, I think to myself "hmm, wow, she's an early bird today with her text message." Her message reads, I want to see it.
Ok, so now I am really dumbfounded! I think again, "WTF?" I didn't send her a text and if I am not mistaken it's been a long time since I sent her one, we had been talking by phone lately. Then I think, "Hmmm, is she being nasty with her man on text and accidentally sent it to me?" I mean, I want to see it sorta sounds freaky if you ask me.
So, I answer her back... HUH?
Her reply is "Sex and the city, haha"
Now I am really like WHAT?? I send her back another reply, "I am confused!"
Then, I think to myself, yet again, "To heck with this texting crap, I'm calling her." So, I get on my HOUSE phone, because at this point, I don't have much faith in my once trustworthy cellphone.
Our conversation when something like this:
Heather: Hello?
Me: Hey! What are you texting about? I am so confused!!
Heather: Well, I had a text message from you at 7:30 this morning that said, " I saw Sex and the City and I loved it, so I answered back that "I want to see it"
Me: Heather, I sent you that text message weeks ago, right after I got out of the movies, it's not even in my outbox on my phone anymore.
Heather: Oh, I remember that, but I thought maybe you saw it again and you were telling me again how good it was. (laughing)
Me: OMG! That is so weird!! I didn't send you a text today and I thought you were trying to talk dirty to your man and you sent the message to me by mistake!
Heather: (laughing hysterically)
Me: Well, I just hope nobody else gets a message from me and just sits there and thinks how strange I am and doesn't ask me about it. Especially my ex husband....yikes!
I have never had anything like that happen before, I don't get it, but all I can figure is that when I turned on my phone something happened and it triggered off the repeat text. Even though it wasn't still in my outbox.
I am still baffled, but we got a good laugh out of it and a good conversation, so somewhere somebody wanted us to talk to each other today! I hope there is not a ghost in my phone....LOL!
