I'm Broke!!

I just returned from a shopping trip at Walmart :(
Let's get one thing straight before I start my ranting.
I already don't like to shop. For groceries anyway....put me in a mall and I'm in Heaven, but food shopping is the pits!
Deciding what to get and how much of it, and something different to cook, and stuff for snacks, and what makes a mess and what is less messy....the list goes on and on. I hate it.
Well now to make things even worse, the prices have gone like waaayy up, just since the last time I was there! And that was what, a week ago??
When I pulled my cart up to the milk cases, I almost fell over in disbelief. I don't know if the guy coming up along side of me heard me mumble it or not, but some not very nice words came out at that moment. Last time I bought milk it was $3.99. Today, $4.74!!!! Oh. My. God.
Then I push my cart on over to the sandwich meats case. Bologna....yes, bologna, that should be the cheapest thing around to feed kids during the day all summer long, why not? The stuff is $3.00 a pack now! I remember when it was barely $1.00.
Cereals have really gotten bad too, but I try to buy the cheaper of the 100's of choices that they have, and this is one of the reasons why I don't bring my kids with me to the store. They have expensive tastes and of course think money is no object.
Hello, I'm broke, Walmart has all of my money.

I use to spend so much at Walmart everyweek! Then I got turned onto the blogging world and found all these great Frugal blogs. I will admit cutting coupons and price matching takes a little time but $100 trips to Walmart are a thing of the past and finding great deals has become a bit of an adiction, you should check out my blog! www.littleaprilbigworl.blogspot.com

Hey Amy thanks for visiting my blog. I am a total freak about groceries. I actually like to grocery shop now - I started using coupons and shopping sales. I used to only shop at Walmart but now I shop Kroger and Albertson's. Anyway --- check out www.pinchingyourpennies.com - or I have a link on my blog. That's where I have learned everything!!! I have been spending a little more lately but not too much!!

Don't EVEN get me started about the cost of groceries! I buy the BIG bags of Malt-O-Meal cereals and lots of boxes of mac-n-cheese....who says the kids need to be healthy???

I'm just kidding.

Or am I.....

Holy crap that's an expensive gallon of milk! We've been trying to shop the sales more. We have 4 different grocery stores in our town sometime we shop a different one each trip. lol Do you guys have any Aldi stores down there? They carry mostly generic brand stuff so sometimes we stock up there on canned goods.

ALL we have here is Walmart, the other two stores (grocery) are mom and pop stores and they are REALLY expensive. Plus, with the price of gas it doesn't pay to go out of town. I do find Walgreens to have pretty good sales and coupon specials. I will definitely be using that from now on.
