Have A Great Veterans Day

A few weeks ago, the Vietnam Wall came to a nearby city and I thought it would be an awesome experience for my girls and I to see it. I took several photos, and I wanted to share them on the most fitting of days, Veteran's Day:

It was really neat to see how the process works. If you know someone who served at the time, you can have their name looked up in the database and you are given a sheet of paper with the number for the section in which it is located. Once you find the name, there is a space that you can shade it in with a pencil and keep it as a souvenir.

Whether you know someone who is a veteran or someone that is serving now, and even if you don't. Take this time to honor them. I will.

That is cool, I saw the wall in DC when I went on a trip during middle school. Very moving.

Very cool. I wish we had known about this--since we homeschool, I would have brought the kids for a field trip.

What a neat experience. I'm hoping some day to go to the memorial in Washington D.C. And I am so proud of all the military men and women who fight for us!

I didn't realize it was a traveling exhibit. Thanks for taking the time out to remind us of what this day is about, even though SOME of us had to work that day!

Catching up, haven't been around since before our trip, sorry!

That wall was in our town a couple years ago. It's pretty cool.
