As I watched this last night, I started to think and realized a lot of things.
One being that, my dad was in the Army before I was born. He chose not to continue after a few years of service and he and my mom settled here in the town where I have lived my whole life.
What I have pondered is this. What if he would have decided to stay in the military and pursue a career of it? Where would I be today? Would I be the same person I am today? Would I even exist at all?
I have always been a firm believer in the phrase "everything happens for a reason". I've seen it, experienced it, and lived it many times.
So now, I believe that our new president was meant to be the one chosen. Regardless of whether I voted for him or not. I am not a political person. I can't even begin to go into a tangent, nor get up on a soapbox about any of the things having to do with this years election or the people involved. All I know is what I know and that is why I chose to refrain from voicing my opinions here.
My last post seemed to cause a few commenters to really get defensive towards one another and I never intended for that to happen. I also chose not to delete any of it because everyone is entitled to their opinion and I felt that if they wanted to back out and do away with their comments, they could do that on their own.
I am not 'here' to speak of anything political. Regardless of anything I know, or don't know. I do not feel educated enough in the matter to do so. I just posted a blog titled "No Comment" because that is what I was thinking and feeling at that particular moment.
I agree with everyone who has said that we have to UNITE and stand together and behind our leader. I know that GOD will lead us to where we need to be always. First and foremost.

That is exactly why I did not post anything political on my blog. I don't know nearly enough to carry on an intelligent political conversation. I mean, I have my reasons for who I voted for and I believe you should get out there and excersize your right to vote. But no matter who anyone votes for, after it is all over the office of President is one to be respected, whether you agree with their views or not.
I really like this attitude! I know that this has happened for a reason and it is not ours to take personally. It just is.
The worst thing is at this point to let the bitterness go on... it doesn't do any good at this point.
Time to join together and do what needs to be done to make things better.
Everything does happen for a reason. Even in politics. Why we had to go through those 8 long, long hard years, I will never know. But I feel that maybe there is a tiny glimpse of hope for all of us. Every race, age and gender. Maybe somebody out of the ordinary leading our country can send the message out that even though we're all different, and have different paths in life, we are still fighting for these 3 things... Life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Maybe if we all stand up at once, undivided, we might get there.

I love that show!!! The second season just ended....*pouty face!*. Of course I AM an Army wife, but this show is very well written and portrayed.

I love that show...but was expecting a more dramatic ending to the 2nd season. Oh well, maybe the 3rd season will open with a bang!!

I have never seen Army Wives. I may have to watch it sometime. Nice talk about the political stuff. Time to move on.
We are a netflix fanatics in my house too! and we do get a lot of cool movies. I have heard of this show but never really got to see it. Maybe I should put it in my cue.
