Fishful Thinking Giveaway!

I have recently been introduced to a wonderful site geared towards instilling optimism in your child.

This awesome site, sponsored by Pepperidge Farms is called Fishful Thinking. Mammarazzi’s blog was the very first place I learned about it and I was very impressed, to say the least. So impressed, that I recently became a Mom Ambassador for this fantastic program.

The Fishful Thinking site has wonderful activities that you can incorporate into your everyday lives and instill some very positive communication with your child. For instance, we participated in a fun game of Emotion Charades a while back. It consists of taking a few slips of paper, writing down some examples of varied emotions and placing these slips in a bowl and choosing one at a time and then attempting to act out that feeling and discuss it further.
We had a fun time as you can see in the photos below:

Happy
Surprised

(scared)
We took these in low lighting (on purpose) because I obviously was a little short on make-up at the time!

Please take a few minutes to go over to your right (on my sidebar) and click the fish! You will be glad that you did, I promise!

In honor of this wonderful new venture that I am introducing you to, I have decided to have a Giveaway! However, you will have to put forth some effort to win, but it’s all worth it, I promise.

I will be giving away a custom designed mini scrapbook, made just for you from Tonya’s KPW Design Site. Tonya designed my layout for my PHOTOBLOG and I love it! She rocks! She makes the cutest mini scrapbooks ever and my winner will have the option of how they want theirs made up just for them! This prize is valued at $25. To see what all she has to offer and just how cute these scrapbooks are, click HERE and see for yourself.

Here are your requirements to be entered in the drawing:

**To earn a place in the giveaway, first and foremost, you MUST go over to Tonya‘s place and come back here and tell me what she has there that you like the best. Entry number 1!

**Go to the Fishful Thinking site and search around and then come back and tell me something that you learned. Easy, right? Get to clicking, but them come back, because there is more. Remember, this is mandatory! But it will earn you 5 entries in the drawing!!

**For extra entries….
**Follow me. If you already do, then leave a separate comment for that entry.

**Follow my Photoblog….Again, leave a separate comment.
**Follow me on Twitter…and let me know that you do.
**Tweet the giveaway…leave me the link and a separate comment.
**Post about this giveaway and link back to me, leaving me a comment with the link, and I will enter you 2 more times!

That is IT!! A little bit of work for 12 chances to win a wonderful prize!

This contest will be open until Friday April 10, 2009. I will draw a winner and announce it on this day. So get to work and enter, enter, enter!!

My goodness her stuff is so darn cute. I'm in love with those little monogrammed name books. I'd love one for each of my kids!

As for the fishful thinking site. That's the first time I've been there. I guess I figured since my kids are grown I don't need to learn anymore parenting techniques...but there were some great articles there. I loved the one about Thomas, and telling your kids they are smart. It's amazing that something you think will boost their confidence could backfire and cause them to not try as hard. Very interesting stuff!

And I am already a faithful follower! Thanks for having the giveaway! I'm crossing my fingers!

Okay....I went to Tonya's. I clicked on her Etsy shoppe, and because I scrapbook (very amateurly), I clicked on some of her books. What I like BEST is the ideas I got from her books to use in my own. The book I really liked was the dec 25 book. I love the haphazard crooked look to some of the pages. I need to let go on my scrapbooking a bit and try some different things. :)

Seriously...you cannot make me choose just one of Tonya's items that I like best!!!

I love the Disney stuff...I LOVE the halloween books!, I love the personalized name books...

again...all are way too cute!

I am a SITS girl and have been seeing Fishful Thinking from quite a few people! I love how they have practical activities to do with your children (or nieces and nephews in my case!)...from indoor to outdoor physical activities..to activities that promote positive thinking!

Pepperridge Ridge is definitely on the right track!

Sweethearts Mini Scrapbook Album is my favorite from her shop.

From Fishful Thinking I learned about positive frustration. I would have thought that was an oxymoron before reading the info on their site.

Ok, let's see if I can remember all the rules :)

For the scrapbook, I actually love the Magic Kingdom ones, especially the second picture view. I also love the Trip To The Zoo with the zoo sign in front.

And something I learned? I thought Fishful Thinking was all about the positive thinking. I didn't realize they also focused on getting kids active. Cool!

I like the Dec 25 mini scrapbook

I learned while research on optimism suggests that it's at least partly genetic, experts also say we can learn to be more positive!
