If you were to get a tattoo right now, what would it be?
Well, let me just start by saying, I do not like needles. I have had, over the years, my fair share of being stuck by them and to submit myself to pain that was not necessary would be utter stupidity.
Secondly, I have two impressionable daughters. Seeing them with a tattoo later in life would probably break my heart.
That being said, if I got a tattoo, it would be located somewhere that nobody could see it when I was fully clothed! Like a tramp stamp. There I said it! What would it be? I really never gave it much thought. Maybe a peace sign or a simple design. Words maybe? I know the possibilities are endless.
What would YOU get? Or what do you have already?

I already have 4. A pig on my right ankle, flowers on my left, a sun on my right shoulder and a HUGE tree frog on my right calf. Next? The back of my neck... possibly a dragonfly.

I've always said I would never get a tattoo b/c I didn't want it to be all saggy and gross when I got old LOL. A girl I know got a tattoo on her thigh in high school, has gained 80 lbs since then, and there are now stretch marks running through the tattoo. yuck!
I'm like you...HATE needles....kinda makes it hard to get a tattoo with that fear, LOL!
You know tattoo needles aren't like your typical "shot" needle. Not that I'm trying to talk you into it, just clarifying that it's not the same.
Having said that, it is painful & anyone who says different is lying.
I've got 5 so I speak from experience.
While I don't want a "tramp stamp" myself, I do agree with you about having the tattoo somewhere that isn't too noticeable.
When (and if) I get mine, it will be on the inside of my right ankle.

Four Leaf Clover. After my divorce I decded that I was going to make my own luck.
I even have the gift certificate to the tattoo place. I really want a small one on my left foot but I hear that it's really painfull there. Not enough body fat.
I'm with you... don't have one, and don't really want one on me. But if I had to, I'd get some kind of symbol, something simple, and somewhere pretty hidden! Haha.

My friends want us to get a tatoo for our 40th birthdays but I am chicken:-(
I just recently got a VERY small one. My only one. It's dark brown script that reads "nosce te ipsum." It's at the nape of my neck, so close to my hairline that people can't even see it with my hair UP. It's just for me. Not tacky...and it actually MEANS something to me!
I don't think I could do a tramp stamp. I'd be too worried people would see it every time I say down. :)
Nope...I'm not a tattoo kinda girl. Just isn't for me. However, if I did end up getting a wild hair one day, it would have to be very small...maybe on my hip. It would likely be a hummingbird in memory of my mom...she collected them.
