My daughter and I were reading some of her required summer reading for school, and in the book (which is set back in the days before even *I* existed) it mentioned a toy that the child was playing with. In describing it, the book stated that it was made heavy on the bottom, allowing it to stay in an upright position. I turned to her and said, "Sorta like a 'Weeble Wobble', to which she replied, "What's a Weeble Wobble"?
Um, duh! How could I expect my ten year old child to remember these things?:
My sister and I played with Weeble Wobble's plenty of times in our childhood and being the defiant and persistant child that I was, I always did everything I could to try and make them stay lying on their side. Not an easy feat for the toy that claims to "wobble, but never fall down"!
Hi Amy! I am back and blogging again! I have missed you! I have a lot of catching up to do reading yours and a few other blogs. Hope you are all well!!! Cheers! Kelly

I LOVE WEEBLES! They have new ones now, but they aren't as good! Thanks for participating-you are all linked up! Have a great weekend!
I loved those too! I always wanted them, but never had my own. Funny, the things we "share" with our kids. My favorite is Fashion plates.
I remember those!
Weeble Wobbles were awesome!

So many vintage toys need to make a comeback. They were so much more simple than all these battery operated gadgets.
