The blue object you see before you is a trash can. My trash can. My new trash can. My much needed and highly anticipated trash can that was provided to me, free of charge, by the city!

Why the excitement, you ask? Well the two, falling apart, piece of crap, hole-filled, flimsy and pitiful trash cans I owned previously, were just not cutting it anymore. And spending nearly $20 a piece on something that holds rotten food and stinky used toilet paper is not cool in my book.
Recently, I was awakened at 3:00AM to a noise outside. I got up and looked out of the window to see this dog in the street, pulling all of my trash out of the bags and scattering it in the road, just to get him an early morning snack. Let me assure you, going outside and chasing off a dog and picking up trash from the street is not how I want to spend my time. Especially at that hour!
There have been times when the weather has been less than lovely and the wind and rain carried my pitiful trash receptacles all over the neighborhood. Leaving me to chase them down and drag them back.
Just recently, one of the lesser of the lucky, lost it's wheel. No thanks to the garbage men, themselves. They've been known to be less than delicate with my property.
All of that horror has come to end, though! My new mighty trash can will save the day! No more animal intrusions! No more flying across the street into the neighbors yards, and no more evil trash men to fling it around. Our automated trash trucks begin this week!

Hey getting excited about little things is great! Life would be pretty boring otherwise :o)
Glad you won't have to make any more 3am trash runs anymore!
Love mine, never had anything different in Arizona. We must be ahead of our time in the wild west.
Hey, no judgment! That's a nice trash can! Also, why are snazzy, indoor trash cans so expensive now? I get that Simple Human is all the rage these days, but I am just not spending $150 on a TRASH CAN. Your new one is beautiful...enjoy!
Also, I'm in awe of how gorgeous and professional your blog is! How did you make this happen in Blogger! Love, love your blog!
You know, it really is little things like this that can make or break your quality of life:-)
You are too funny! But I get it, I've had to hunt our trash can down in the neighborhood before too on those windy days.
Getting excited about the littlest things in life is the best way to live life, in my opinion! And I agree, those rolling trash cans are the best!
oh yeah, that ain't right. congrats on the new blue can!!
