I should have married a doctor...

I saw my 'female' doctor this week. I do indeed have a few cysts in my uterus...some, the size of golf balls!

He really is not too concerned at this point, because he says that cysts are common and most women have them.

Also, I am not having any major symptoms or discomfort from them right now. Sooo, in two months he wants to see me again. If they have grown or my symptoms worsen, then he will remove my uterus. Just my uterus...and leave my ovaries.

My regular doctor is supposed to be sending me to a specialist for a second opinion about my liver. Remember that? Well, obviously he doesn't because they still have not called me. I called and they were supposed to get back with me, and two days later, still nothing.

Again, this is not anything to be worried about (easy for them to say!) but the waiting bugs me.

Somebody fix me!!.......yesterday.

That sounds like no fun at all!

Maybe a relative will become a doctor? I kinda hope of my kids is a general contractor and the other is a doctor.

Hello Amy! I know the feeling of waiting in vain. I agree this is something doctor's don't realize. Waiting for the results sometimes tortures the patient.

I know I am not in the position to give an advice but please remember Amy that I and your other friends in the blogosphere are praying for you. Have faith!

Wow, the whole uterus. So if nothing changes in the two months then what? Do you have to keep following up or just your normal yearly after that?

And, what's the matter with these crazy doctors not calling you back?

Hoping this all works out and comes to an end soon so you can stop worrying!!

Removing the whole uterus instead of just the cysts seems a bit like overkill to me (and if you're going to take out the plumbing, why not take it all? Must have something to do with hormones).
Good luck with all of it!

I'm with Beth! Removing it all seems overkill, but on the other hand not taking the ovaries seems stupid too! Let me just be Dr. MiMi for a day. LOL!
Scary.

I hate that Dr's say, "No worries" and don't call. BS! I always call and bug the crap out of them. Seriously.

You poor thing. I have cysts on my ovaries which is why I don't have 5 kids by now. My ovaries hate me.
