I try not to get too 'into' American Idol and I'll tell you why. Every single year, my pick loses. It doesn't matter who I choose in the final 2, they never have made it. My most disappointing year was the one that Ruben Studdard beat out Clay Aiken. It just goes to show you that you don't have to win the title to succeed. I don't hear crap about Ruben.
Anyway, I am excited about the final 2 this year and I am so wanting David Cook to come out on top. Honestly, if he doesn't get it, I know he will go far with a very successful career ahead of him. I like the rocker edge that he has and the way he presents himself. A local radio station DJ mentioned yesterday morning that Cook presents himself as more of a celebrity than Archuletta, and I believe that to be true. Granted he's older, and much more mature, but it's all in the way you handle yourself. Don't get me wrong, the younger David can sing, I just find that he's boring.
Less than a week, and we'll know the outcome.....I wouldn't want to be in their shoes right now!
One last note.....last nights performance by Fantasia was horrible! I hope that all of the people who ever voted for her were sitting back with a look upon their faces such as Simons' when they panned the camera past his look of horror. I mean, goodness....it was a nightmare!
