I can NOT believe that I finally voted for a winner on American Idol! I think I was truly shocked when they announced David Cook as the winner last nite. I was not expecting it at all, but I am very happy he did.
David Archuletta has a great voice and I knew from the beginning that he would go far (in the competition and in his career) He may just do much better with that since he didn't actually win the title. Good luck and best wishes to him in whatever path he chooses to take.
David Cook only became my choice after my original pick, Michael Johns, was eliminated. I think he had me hooked after he sang "Billy Jean" by Michael Jackson and did such an awesome job with it. I know that he will also go far careerwise and be very successful.
I wish all of them the best, even the others who didn't go very far.

My girls were fighting over which David would win. They called me in when one of them did Bryan Adams "Summer of 69" asking if it was a Rick song! lol
