I have been away from the computer. Not very far away, but not enough time spent thinking up blog subjects. So I guess I am here to ramble today in order to even post. I completed my last month on NaBloPoMo and I am still there, and do intend to continue blogging there, but life just gets in the way sometimes.
This past weekend, I had a stomach virus of some sort and that sorta put a damper on my Saturday and part of Sunday, but I am feeling back to my old self again, thankfully. Yesterday I went on a field trip with my youngest daughter. If you like spicy food and enjoy adding some flavor to certain meals, then you have heard of Tobasco. The Tobasco factory is located about an hour or so from the town where I live.....at Avery Island. We toured the plant and then went to Jungle Gardens which is adjacent to the factory. Everything there was beautiful, and we saw some baby alligators, lots of growing bamboo and tons of birds. The weather was very nice and surprisingly cool for a day in May. We really enjoyed ourselves. I didn't bring my camera....I know, Iknow, shame on me! But, it needs a few setting adjustments, and I never got around to doing that, and we were late leaving, so I just left it behind. Anyway, we had a good time.
Well, it's back to reality and I am home doing a little work around here. I can NOT believe that we only have about 2 1/2 weeks left until school is out for summer. I am really looking forward to it, but part of me is shocked that it's almost over already.
Ok, time to stop playing around, and get some things accomplished....... :)
