And That's The Way It Is

After all of the crap I dealt with......broken washing machine, ridiculous repairman and loads of laundry, I bought a brand new one! My brother in law (who I am indebted to forever, God bless his soul) came over and looked at the old one and determined that it had something to do with the motor. New motor + the labor they would have charged = just about the same for a brand new machine. Screw Sears, I went somewhere else and ended my troubles. For now!

Walter Cronkite died. I remember him fondly from my childhood years. He had a distinct voice, it was soothing and it brought back memories, hearing some of his old stuff from way back when. Stuff that reminds me of my mom. Those sort of memories are special to me.

Speaking of my mom (and my brother in law), I came across a song that brings back some very cool memories of her. Yesterday on Facebook, my brother in law mentioned a song on a post of my sister's and I had to go searching for it. And I found it! I laughed until I wanted to cry, hearing this after so many years and I remember my mom listening to this when I was very young. Here it is. And don't act like you don't know it or remember it. Unless you are under the age of 30.

My brother in law....he is a nut, but I thank him for this special childhood memory. Don't laugh!

Oh, that's too funny! Do you know that I used to sit in my room and record myself singing "Delta Dawn"? I still know all the words! Now, how scary is that? :)

Glad you got a new one. I know a pain but at least you have one. I am having problems with my freezer.

Be sure to stop by today okay... I have something for you...

Well, at least you have something new and shiny. :( It stinks when you have to make the purchase under durress, I understand. We just did that with new flooring in our bathroom. BUT....the results are nice. :) I will have to play this song in private...later. LOL Don't want to be laughed out of my work.

Sucks having to put that much money out there but you'll be better off with it in the long run :)

Glad your washing machine problems have been solved. Ours is on its last leg. We've already fixed it once (hubby is really handy-thank goodness), but I know that it is only a matter of time before we need to get another one.
