Award and Thanks

I would like to thank my friend Amy aka Aim at WriteOneTwo for giving me this award:

Now along with an award, comes some work so here goes.

1. Say one nice thing to a man in your life.
To my dad: Thanks for always being there and for all of your advice and 'help' over the years. I love you and appreciate it all.

2. List at least 6 ways you measure success in your life (or for your blog).
* I have children that are happy and healthy and I would like to think they are that way because of me.

* I have a job that I love and I achieved it on my own.

* I am in a great and loving relationship with a kind-hearted and wonderful man who loves me despite my faults.

*I keep up with my blog, for the most part and that is a huge success, because I never thought it would go this far.

*I have made tons of online friends in the last 4 years and I stay in touch with them all.

* I go to bed at night, having completed just about everything I needed to do each day.

3. Assign this award to 5 other blogs.

Caroline
Therese
Lizzy
Trish
Briana

This is never easy (assigning an award, I'd like to give them out to all my peeps, but thems the rules)

I would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you that commented on my last post or those who emailed me privately. YOU don't know how much all your comments, kind words and prayers mean to me.
Chelsea and I worked together on school work until almost bedtime last night and she even said it was "kinda fun" . SO hopefully if we can make it fun and interesting, things will go our way.

My Aching Heart

The only words that I can use to describe myself right now are:

Sad
Heartbroken
Worried
Confused

My daughter is having a hard time in school. Her grades are not good.

And she does.not.care.

However, I care! A lot.

I don't want her to fail. She can't fail. I have talked to a teacher and she says that she doesn't pay attention. I know that.

Last year Chelsea was on meds for this. They seemed to help somewhat. SO back to that we go. I didn't want to. But I will.

I want to help her anyway that I can, so "ME" time in the evenings will be gone. But that is ok. We have lots to do.

Remembering Mom

It's been one year.
We still think about you every day.
We still laugh and cry at all the memories.
You will always be with us.
We love you.

A Fun Meme & Award

I would like to thank Therese at The Musings of a Mom for tagging me with this meme.

These are the rules: Pass this on to 5 blogging friends. Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56. Write the 5th sentence, as well as two to five sentences following that.

My book is THE REBEL HOUSEWIFE and on page 56, the 5th sentence reads.......

I cherished each time I could use my mommy-magic to kiss a boo-boo and make it all better. I loved seeing his little face light up when he saw me every morning, and I treasured all those precious little boy hugs and kisses.

And I pass the meme onto:

I've also been given an award........

Mammarazzi @ Dandelion Wishes gave me this baby........

Thank you sweety!! (her blog is a fun one, so check her out for sure !)

Requirements for accepting this award are that I must list five of my favorite addictions and then pass along the award to five other fabulous blogs.
My five addictions are:

2. Blogging....(obviously)
3. Music (I couldn't go without it, there's always a song stuck in my head)
4. Photography ( I love taking and looking at pictures)
5. Sweets (especially chocolate)
I pass this award on to:

Thanks ladies for the awards. It really means a lot to me that so many of you out there read my blog and I love you all and your blogs too. I've met some really great people since I began blogging. I just want you all to know that even if I don't always comment on every post, I am reading them. I just get lazy sometimes. sheesh! :-)

Holiday Shopping

Well I survived my annual Black Friday jaunt once again this year. I love to shop and being there with the crowd does not bother me in the least. In fact I love it! Shopping is my thing.

I may or may not have bought a couple of these babies:

One in black and one in pink. But shhhhh! It's a secret. They were on the list last year but me being the bargain hunter I am, I had a strategy. I just knew if I held out one more year they'd be at least half price by now.

Not!

They are the same price EVERYwhere, but that's ok. They are ALL that my little darlings asked for, so that is what they shall receive. Along with one game each and some other little goodies here and there.

So, Nintendo, if you put your little 'toys' on sale now that I have given in to your extremely high price, you will have hell to pay.
