I thought this movie was going to be awesome!
I was very sadly mistaken.
Nicholas Sparks wrote "The Notebook"...one of my all-time favorite books and movies.
He didn't do such a great job with this one.
I love the two main characters. They are awesome, but ..... That. Is. It.
The End.

Ahhh...that's too bad! I was really looking forward to that one:-( Oh well. I guess I will save me money on that one:-(
Someone else told me it was good! I may still have to check it out for myself. I sure love Richard!
Thanks for the tip! I still may check it out when it comes out on DVD, but at least then if it still sucks, I can just turn it off and move on :).
I was pretty sure it'd suck. THey kept screwing around with the release date. THe other problem I had with it was that Richard Gere and Whatsherface, oh yea, Diane Lane, were in one of my favorite movies together- Unfaithful. I thought it was wacky casting.
All that being said, I will definitely Redbox it once it's on DVD and the husband is out of town.
I was so looking forward to this movie. I loved them together in Unfaithful. Well....actually I loved Diane Lane and her hot french guy. LOL
Thanks for the heads up about this one. I'm a HUGE Notebook fan, so I was tempted to see this one. I'm glad to know not to waste my $$$$.
Ahh I wanted to go see this too.. I love the actors in the movie..guess I'll take a raincheck..
I will just wait to see Wall E when it come to dvd and I'll buy that, Lily and Justin loved it.
that bites. I love Richard Gere. I guess I'll wait and rent it instead of spending a million dollars at the theater.
Thanks for the heads up, I ALMOST went to that this weekend!
:)
Have a great week!
Phew! Dodged THAT bullet. My hubby and I had date night on Saturday and were going to see this. Instead, we watched Eagle Eye.
I'll wait for DVD.
I'm sorry you didn't like it. You don't know me, but I liked the movie. I didn't like the end, but I thought it was good. Not the best, but I enjoyed it. It gave me a little hope for my future, I will have my divorce final in two weeks. Anyway, that's my two cents, take it or leave it.
Hugs from Georgia, Amy ;)
oh no!! I enjoyed this book, and was looking forward to seeing this movie, even though I know the movie is never as good as the book! Either way, I have to wait till it comes out on DVD, lol!
I refuse to see this movie...seriously...mostly because I could tell it would suck, but also because it was one of my least favorite Sparks novels. Now The Notebook...A Walk to Remember...those were awesome, to say the least.
I had a feeling this wasn't going to be a good one.
should I take it off my Netflix and not even bother with it for home, or should I leave it for grins?
