OH The Things I Could Do!

So MamaKat has handed out her assignments once again and I am ready to turn mine in. She even used my last blog post as inspiration for a prompt. How cool is that? Ok, so enough gushing.... on to the assignment I chose:

If you could cut back on something in your life that takes up your time what would it be? And what would you prefer to spend that time doing?

Actually, this one is a no-brainer. As much as I love my job, I'd love to be able to work only half a day every day, or have one extra day off during the week.

I currently work 5 days a week from 8am to 4:30pm, with an hour lunch break. Not too bad, but I would love to be able to have extra time for myself, to do the following:
  • Blogging, of course.
  • Spending time with my kids and getting them to and from their extra-curricular activities.
  • Cleaning my house, although I hate doing it, I could really use some extra time for that.
  • Reading. I have absolutely NO time right now to ever get any down time in to read.
  • Running errands, and paying bills. Doing these things on my lunch break is stressful!
  • Doing things with my friends, like shopping or having lunch.

I guess I could go on and on, but if I did I'd have to work even less to get in all of that extra time.

Go on over and visit MamaKat for more assignments and to join in the fun!

There just never is enough time in a day to accomplish everything I want or need to do! Hope you have a great day, Amy...this was fun!

well, being pregnanty, i am CONSTANTLY tired, and choosing to lounge around instead of going out and getting things done after work. so i would cut back on sleep so i could accomplish other goals :)

Visiting from Mama Kats...

I think these are all worthwhile things so I suggest you cut back and pursue them. Aren't we supposed to do what we love and the money will follow? Well, that hasn't happened to me yet so I guess you better keep working.

Ditto for me, please! A big dish of LESS WORK. But of course, in a realistic world....I'd spend less time on the computer. At home. I really should be scrapbooking or something more productive.

Love your list.....
But as I see it, the more "free" time I have, the more people expect from me;hich in turn, is no free time at all. ;-)

Have a beautiful day.

Great question. I think I have pretty good balance in my life right now. I am looking forward to getting my house redo done so I can spend some more time screwing off though.

I agree about the blogging one. I would love an hour a day just for blogging.

Gush on!

I wish I had more time to read. I find when my toddler naps and I have the choice of blogging or reading...I choose blogging. LOL

I'm a stay at home mom and still have to fine time to do things. Some days I think I'm going crazy like today. So now I'm blogging and drinking a margarita and a frozen Mudslide. That's right two of them. LOL
