This is my last post about a hurricane. Any one of them. Past or Future. I don't even want to hear the word 'hurricane' or 'storm' again anytime soon. I am finished for the season.
I am home, safe and sound. No damage, no problems. Thank goodness!
Can I just get on with my life and be back to normal, please?
My boyfriend, who practically lives with me all week, has left for Texas since early this morning to help with the clean up and power restoration over there. He works for a tree trimming company that gets contracted out by the power companies to work along side them to get things back on track after major storms. When there aren't storms, they do regular everyday work with the utility companies locally.
Needless to say, I will be missing him for the week or so while he's gone. On the upside, I'll have more time to blog, but I will be a little lonely. Damn hurricanes, even messing with my love life!

I'm glad you are home and everything is ok. Sorry that your boyfriend had to go, but he's helping so many people that I guess it's a good thing! I am with you - no more hurricane talk! And NO MORE HURRICANES!!
I hope he comes back soon and I am glad you are all safe - my ex MIL lives in Corpus Christi and I was worried about her, but she is doing well.
Glad you are back and everyone is OK! That's enough with the hurricanes this year! Hope you can get back to normal life now and that your bf comes home soon.

Geez this storm is crazy! My Mom is in Chicago and Ike's reaching up there! So many people have flooded basements and everywhere is sold out of sump pumps! It has not stopped raining for 2 days!
That really hurts when it gets you in the love department!!
I am just glad that you are fine and there is no damage to speak of. Maybe now, Mother Nature will leave you guys alone!!!

Hi Amy! I have been taking an extended blog-cation and now that I 'm back I had to check in on you. I am so glad to hear that you got through Gustave and Ike safely! I think the only Hurricane you are going to want anytime soon is the liquid kind! I hope your BF returns soon! And here's praying that there aren't any more storms!
