Pac-Man Fever

I remember one of the greatest Christmas gifts I received as a kid:
My sister and I played our Atari constantly! My thumb was in great shape, working that there joystick. That is what gets me about todays video game systems. No joystick. I was good at it, I can't seem to maneuver those newer kinds of controls. But anyway.....

We played games such as Frogger, Donkey Kong, Pong, and my all-time favorite game PAC-MAN!

Pac-man was my addiction. I was so addicted at one time, that I would steal quarters from my mom and go down a few blocks to the closest convenience store just to play pac-man on their arcade game. Then we got an Atari. I guess my mom was tired of never having any change left in her purse.

Turn up your speakers and listen to this.
Boy does it bring back memories......

I was addicted to Ms. Pac-Man! I now have a full size arcade game in my basement with Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. Those games rock! My kids just don't understand how I can play for hours. forget about Xbox, I'll stick with the old school stuff!

I would have to agree that MsPacMan was the way to go... I swear I would play that game until my eyes watered!

:) Amazing how technology has changed eh? I think I'd still love me some old school donkeykong!

My addiction was Moon Patrol. I worked graveyard shift in a truckstop when I was just out of highschool. We'd play Moon Patrol from about 3:00 in the morning until 5:00 when people started coming back in. I had permanent "moon patrol" damage to my thumbs lol

is this one of those "best give EVER" commercials and you're about to reveal your new Lexus???

I personally was hooked on Circus Atari... you know, the little clowns that bounced around on the teeter totter popping the balloons... and Breakout - I ROCKED at Breakout :)

I once found a Pong console in a closet. I have no idea what happened to it, but that baby should have been listed on Ebay!

So utterly and completely fantastic. That "wacka-wacka-wacka" sound takes me back. Waaaaay back. Now I wanna play...seriously. I'm digging out the old Atari this weekend, and fondly thinking of you.

p.s. I was a Frogger pro...man, I gotta play that, too. Sigh...

Wow! This does bring back memories. Found you on SITS - I can't believe it's snowing in Louisiana! Wow. I'm in DC - we are supposed to get a "wintry mix" tomorrow. :)

I loved Atari. Video games today just aren't the same. I loved Frogger and Pitfall. But Kaboom was my game! No one could beat me on that one!

We had three different game systems that were THE hot Christmas gifts of their time. Only they weren't name brands, because my dad worked at Sears. So we had the house brand of Pong, Atari, and Intellivision. But we enjoyed them anyway!
