I do not even know where to begin for a post, thus the title for this one......
Mr. Sweetie made it safely to Kentucky. He is working his butt off every day since he arrived. They are staying in a high school gym that has no electricity, running on generators and sleeping in blow up mattress sleeping bag thingies. (I'd never make it!)
He has called me numerous times and he is very homesick. I hope they get the job done soon, so he can come home before too long. I MISS HIM!
As of Sunday, my grandmother was doing a little better and had perked up from the day before. She actually was taken down to eat in the cafeteria and had done well. She lives in a nursing home. My dad did say that she just sits around with her eyes closed. Not a good sign.
One of the things that we learned when my mom was still with us, after we looked into hospice care, was that one of the signs of the sick or elderly preparing to leave us, was that they sit with their eyes closed frequently. It is actually their way of separating themselves from every day life and people and the beginning of the end. Sad, but when my mom was nearing the end and I read that, I could not believe how much what they described was just exactly what she was doing/saying/acting out.
And that is all that I have. I am in basically a blog-rut. Not much excitement, lots of everyday craziness and busy-ness.
Until next time......

I'm glad to hear things are going a little better.
I hope your grandmother continues to do better!
Ugh...
I'm sorry about your Grandmother. It's so hard to watch our loved ones decline... and especially when you don't have Mr. Sweetie there to give you a big hug and make it better.
Here's my big hug for ya!

Oh hon, I hope things get better for you :) BIG HUGS from me too!!
It's funny how just a small tidbit, the part about your grandmother, can remind all of us who have experienced that, of THAT moment. I have yet to go through it with my parents or grands, but I have sat by my husband's side, and it definitely gives you perspective. I hope that she is peaceful and resting as she sits with her eyes closed. :)
I'm sure the hubby will be home soon. I hope your grandmother continues to get better.
Glad to hear your hunny had a safe trip. I hope he's home with you soon.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'm going through a similar situation with mine and it's hard. I'll be thinking of you.
