In other news, if you haven't noticed by now, I changed my layout. Yep, I am anal, OCD, never satisfied. Call it what you will, but I needed a change. After much surfing around and not finding anything spectacular, without having to pay for a new one, I went back to bloggers templates and came up with this one. I like clean and simple, easy to read. I find that when I visit someones blog, I like that, so I went with it for mine.
A little story I wanted to share about my contacts. Yes, I wear contacts. I love wearing them because with glasses, I had many many issues.
First of all, I didn't like the way they made me look. Secondly, nothing aggravates me more when I walk in from a cold winter day into a warm room and my glasses would fog up. Very annoying. Another one I can't go without mentioning, is that sweaty oily noses don't hold glasses well, so 'nuf said about that.
Anyway, last week I went to visit a friend, and as we are talking, my right eye became very irritated. To the point that I had to go into her bathroom and look at my eye. It felt like someone had thrown a bucket of sand in there. Not very comfortable. At. All!!
So I am standing there, hunting for my contact in my eye, so that I can take it out to examine it and see what is wrong with it. I can't find the freaking contact! It was nowhere to be found, I couldn't find it and I started to panic. Where the heck had it gone?? Finally, I see it and grab it and pull it out. Only about 2/3 of the contact was there. Where did the other part go? I could not find it. I gave up and went home.
All afternoon the irritation would keep coming back and I rubbed and hunted, felt around for it, put eye drops, couldn't find the darn thing for nothing in the world. Frustrated was a good word to describe what I was at this point.
Finally about 3 or 4 hours later, I found the rest of my contact and pulled it out. Never in the 3 years that it has been since I started wearing contacts, has anything like this ever happened. Did my eyeball EAT my contact? I do not ever touch my eyes or rub them when contacts or in, so I can not even begin to imagine what would have caused that to happen. Weird, very weird. Oh and of course, they were my second to last pair, so I had to order more immediately.
Hopefully my eyeball doesn't get hungry again before the new ones get here!

Wow! Hungry eyes? I hadn't heard of that one before! :)
You have completely grossed me out with the whole eyeball thing as I cannot stand anything to do with eyes!
Your blog was cute before but if you like plain, you should stick with it. However, if you want me to help you with any artwork I will (see my www.funnygals.blogspot.com) new look I just helped them with!
Hee, hee, hee. Hungry Eyes?? Wasn't that a song from Dirty Dancing:-)
Congrats on your award!!! Oww on your eye!! Your new blog design is cute!!
Actually my husband's eye eats his contacts all the time...weird! I do like your new blog! Also like that you are an Esme...I am on Breaking Dawn...very good!!!
OK, that's just plain crazy. Your eye has super contact shredding powers! One time I "lost" a contact in my eye. I knew it was somewhere because it was irritating, but I couldn't "find" it for 3 days. It was folded up like 4 times and hiding out.
I wear daily's and have not had that happen but have heard of it, it only takes a little bit of rip and a dry eye to pull the rest off.. no good, eww.. I hate hearing about eyes, makes me want to rub mine, pain for you.. hope your better.. congrats on the cute award and thanks for stopping by my blog :D

OMG..my eyes were totally watering reading this..
I could NEVER ever wear contacts..
I hate dealing with eyes..or anything..
I don't wear mascara either..bleh..
hope it gets better!
I love wearing my contacts, but they NEVER seem to want to work right with me. My eyes seem to reject them. Or even worse, my eyes pretend to be okay with it and then when I'm out decide that they don't want to be in anymore. I have very moody eyes apparently.
